I had the honour of joining Canada's Minister of Mental Health and Addictions and Associate Minister of Health, Carolyn Bennett at Algonquin College to announce 1.2 million dollars in funding to the Canadian Association for Long Term Care - CALTC.
This funding is part of a Budget 2021 investment of 50 million dollars over two years to address PTSD and trauma in frontline and other essential workers whose mental health was affected during the pandemic.
