Flood Reconstruction Funds for Belltown & Britannia
During the last election, constituents asked Anita for funding to restore critical infrastructure that had been damaged in the 2017 and 2019 floods. On October 9th, 2020, Anita joined Minister Anand and the NCC to announce $52.4 in federal funding to restore the Belltown Berm, which will ensure the community is better protected against future floods. The funds will also be used to restore the paths and boardwalks at Mud Lake. As our federal government continues to leads the fight climate change, flood mitigation and natural infrastructure will be a vital part of our plan.
